I am a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and completed my Comprehensive Training Program through BalancedBody University. Additionally, I'm certified in pre and postnatal Pilates and The Franklin Method which is a practice of teaching dynamic alignment and maximum efficiency of movement through imagery. I teach clients with all different body types and limitations. Whether you are brand new to Pilates, looking to get toned or rehabilitate an injury, I can help you! I've worked with clients from all walks of life. I've taught newbies to people who've had herniated discs, scoliosis, frozen shoulders, rotator cuff injuries, knee replacements, hip replacements and more. I've treated injured clients who don't want surgery but want to strengthen their limitations so they can live pain free. I've worked with cancer survivors and stroke victims. I've trained beginners and advanced students, the youth and the elderly. I've even trained someone in their mid-90's! I began practicing Pilates with a trainer when I was 15 years old and loved the way it made me feel and look. I never enjoyed going to the gym. It was always a chore but Pilates was different. I felt revitalized, refreshed and fully alive after my lessons. I never felt too sore to move the next day and I loved that. I have found a new sense of self the more I practice and grow with Pilates. I can do things with my body I never thought possible, and I feel less pain then I've ever felt before. I have minor scoliosis with leg discrepancies and practicing Pilates regularly has truly saved me from needing further intervention. I move more efficiently, gracefully and have the best coordination I've ever had in my life. Not only is my body more finely tuned, but I am leaner, taller and more aware of myself in space.
After giving birth to identical twin girls, I can say that my body "bounced" back quite quickly and I give full credit to my Pilates practice. I continued to do Pilates throughout my pregnancy and never had the common back aches that most pregnant women suffer from. Once I was cleared to workout again after pregnancy, I found that my body was ready to move and still had strength. It was truly remarkable and I believe it was due to my continued practice. Pilates has changed my life in so many ways and I can guarantee it will do the same for you.
I am also a certified Health Coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition so that I can encompass more nutrition and holistic healing into my practice. I want my clients to have a truly life changing experience when they work with me by improving their physical health, mental health and overall holistic wellness. Together we can create the best version of you through movement, diet, positive thinking and setting realistic, tangible goals. I work with my Pilates clients in a fully equipped studio with Stott Pilates apparatus in Midtown East on 57th and 2nd and teach clients remotely through zoom.
